The roots of MRP Construction & Restoration go back long before the company officially opened its doors in 1999. Mike Pearson spent decades working in the trades, building and restoring with care, precision, and a quiet pride that earned him the trust of clients and the respect of peers. His experience and dedication laid the groundwork for what MRP would become.
When Mike and his daughter Melissa Goodwin founded MRP, they brought together a lifetime of hands-on expertise and a shared vision for quality and integrity. Melissa grew up learning the trade beside her father, starting with sweeping sawdust and handing him tools before stepping into her own leadership role. Today, she leads the business operations, ensuring the company runs smoothly and clients receive the highest level of support .
In late October 2025, Mike shifted his focus back to the field, returning to the work that has always fueled his passion. This transition allows him to fully dedicate himself to client relationships and community connections, guiding each project with unmatched experience and a personal touch. His presence on-site continues to define the MRP standard and strengthen the trust that has been built over decades.
Now the third generation has stepped in. Michael Goodwin, Melissa's son and Mike's grandson, brings fresh energy and a strong focus on safety and leadership in the field. Together, the three generations represent a powerful blend of tradition and progress, working side by side to carry MRP's legacy into the future.

Our difference comes from more than just experience. It comes from our family’s deep commitment to doing the right thing, even when it’s hard. Since 1999, we’ve built a reputation for quality and reliability by showing up, doing the work, and learning from every challenge along the way.
We don’t claim to be perfect. Like any business that’s grown over time, we’ve had our share of missteps. But we own them. We reflect, we adjust, and we keep moving forward. That mindset is part of our culture. We believe that no matter how much we know, there is always room to grow. We listen when something needs to change, and we take pride in doing better every single day.
Whether we are restoring a historic building or creating something brand new, we bring the same level of care, passion, and accountability to every project. Our clients trust us not because we get everything right the first time, but because we stand behind our work and never stop striving to improve.

We believe the process matters just as much as the outcome. From the first conversation to the final walkthrough, we focus on clear communication, transparency, and follow-through. We believe the process matters just as much as the outcome. From the first conversation to the final walkthrough, we focus on clear communication, transparency, and follow-through. We listen closely, ask the right questions, and stay responsive throughout the project. Our systems have been shaped by years of hands-on experience, and we continue to refine them to better serve our clients and our team.

Behind every project is a team of people who care deeply about the work they do. From our crew in the field to our partners and clients, we believe in treating people with respect, honesty, and fairness. We create a culture where everyone’s voice matters and where growth is encouraged. We know that when people feel valued, they do their best work, and that shows in every detail of what we build.

We believe that growth isn’t optional, it’s essential. Whether in the classroom or on the ground, we’re committed to evolving, adapting, and leading with curiosity. Because when we learn, we build better.

We are proud of where we have been, but we are even more excited about where we are going. The future of construction is changing, and we are ready to grow with it. We are investing in new technologies, expanding our capabilities, and continuing to build a team that reflects our values. We remain committed to staying curious, staying humble, and staying focused on what matters most: doing great work for great people.

To us, construction is personal. These are not just buildings. They are homes, businesses, and community spaces that hold meaning for the people who use them. That is why we take our work seriously.
